Bank transfer

  • Call your bank immediately — number on the back of your card
  • Ask for the fraud team and explain you made an Authorised Push Payment
  • Request a payment recall — banks can sometimes reverse recent transfers

Card payment

  • Call your bank to report fraud and request a chargeback
  • Cancel your card if the scammer has your details

Cryptocurrency

  • Crypto transactions cannot be reversed
  • Report to Garda and preserve all records (wallet addresses, transaction IDs)
  • Contact the exchange you used — they may be able to flag destinations

Gift cards

  • Contact the gift card issuer immediately with the card codes
  • Some retailers can freeze unused balances
